What is a Maryland Homeschool “Umbrella”?

In Maryland, homeschooling families are required by law to have their educational program supervised. You have two paths:

  1. The County Path: Reporting directly to your local Board of Education.
  2. The Ministry Path: Joining a “Sponsoring Organization” like CCA.

Why Choose CCA? By joining our ministry under COMAR 13A.10.01.05, you gain a partner that understands your Christian worldview. We provide the “legal cover” and administrative backbone, allowing you the privacy and freedom to teach your children according to your own values and style—without government intrusion.

Homeschooling is a journey of faith, but the legal paperwork shouldn’t be. At Cornerstone Christian Academy (CCA), we handle the administrative ‘heavy lifting’ so you can stay focused on what matters most: your child’s heart and mind. We aren’t just an umbrella; we are your local partners in educational freedom.
